Job Overview:

The role of Assistant Manager - Service Delivery (Network) focuses on L3-level engineering responsibilities with a strong emphasis on Juniper Networks technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementation, support, and troubleshooting of networks involving Juniper devices, working directly with both internal teams and external clients.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Troubleshooting

• Resolve complex network issues
• Identify and eliminate root causes
• Use Juniper tools and logs to fix service interruptions

2. Implementation

• Configure and deploy Juniper routers, switches, and firewalls
• Ensure deployments meet business and security requirements

3. Technical Support

• Offer Level 3 support for escalated issues
• Collaborate with internal teams and customers to resolve issues

4. Network Knowledge

• Expertise in BGP, OSPF, and other routing/switching protocols
• Solid understanding of network security principles

5. Juniper-Specific Expertise

• Hands-on experience with JUNOS, ScreenOS
• Familiarity with FCAPS, SNMP
• Automation through scripting (Python, Shell, etc.)

6. Communication Skills

• Clear and professional verbal/written communication
• Able to explain complex technical terms in a simple manner

7. Customer Engagement

• Interface with clients to assess needs
• Design and propose network solutions

8. Continuous Learning

• Stay updated on new Juniper features and technologies

9. Automation/Scripting

• Develop network scripts using Python, Ansible, etc.
• Automate routine tasks to enhance network efficiency

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 5–10 years of experience in network engineering
• Strong knowledge of Juniper networking products and services
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve L3-level issues independently
• Proficiency in routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF)
• Scripting experience (Python, Shell)
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
• Preferred: Juniper certifications such as JNCIA-J, JNCIE-ENT
